Dr. John Babson is our Educational Specialist with decades of rich teaching experience in universities in the USA, Japan, and Hong Kong. Dr. Babson received his undergraduate degrees in Physics and Chemistry as well as having taken concentrations in Philosophy and Anthropology from Renssarlar Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, USA. He continued to pursue his dreams by studying Physics and Astronomy in Hawai`i which includes the world-renowned observatory at Mauna Kea. He ultimately received his Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa and started his teaching career there. Later he taught in Miyazaki, Japan and finally at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) where he was a faculty member of both the General Education Centre and the Applied Physics Department.

Throughout his career in academia, Dr. Babson was involved in student counseling and is well aware of the needs of students and obstacles facing them to be successful in their academic endeavors.

Dr. Babson takes a whole person perspective and is a strong proponent of applying technology to human need. Dr. Babson strongly believes that given the right guidance and encouragement, the potential in each and every child and adolecent can be uncovered thus embarking on the life-long journey of self-discovery. So motivated they will naturally want to learn about the world and how they fit in enjoying the process.
